Kushal runs the Boston Marathon

Hello & Namaste!
My name is Kushal Gurung and I will be running the Boston Marathon on April 16, 2018. I am dedicating this marathon to my mother, Gau Maya Gurung, who passed away due to complications from cancer on Sept 18, 2017. After this tragedy, my running took a different meaning and purpose. I want to help others by way of my running.
I met an amazing person by the name of Marleen Fischer on a recent trip to Nepal. She is a founder of "Stichting Thang" - a non-profit organization. She along with Amber Delahaye, co-founder and an artist/illustrator by profession, conducted art workshops for kids in Kathmandu. They were also able to setup two mini-libraries in schools located in remote areas (Tukuche and Dang) of Nepal and have plans to open more mini-libraries across the country. I fully support their projects.
I want to raise funds in honor of my mother and 100% of the proceeds will be given to "Stichting Thang" to help with their projects (including libraries) that benefit the children in Nepal.
