Handicap Friendly Van

Hello my name is Luz Reina, and I have a 26 years old son who was born with cerebral palsy. My son weights around 150 pounds, and due to his disease he cannot move on his own, yet along stand, and I am sad to tell you that he will be on a wheelchair for the rest of his life. However, he relies on my husband and I to move him to places. I am a 59 years old woman, and taking care of my children is my number one priority. My husband is a 60 years old man, who works as a valet. Most of the times, I have to carry my son and move him to all of the places we go, we go to the doctor, church, work, visit his brothers and sisters, and many other places. The reason why I am creating this petition is because the car we have does not facilitate my daily commutes with my son, as I have to unload him from the wheelchair sit him in the passenger seat, and then I have to put the wheelchair in the trunk of the car. I am getting older and with time my body aches a lot more from loading him and unloading him from the car, I do it with all the love a mother can have for a child, but if we get a better car that is handicap friendly I would deeply appreciate it. The funds I am asking for are for us to get a van that has the handicap ramp, that way my unloading and loading process is facilitated.
