Help For Newly Blind Girl

Donation protected
Morgan is 21 years old, and as of 2 weeks ago, had 20/20 vision and was a live in nanny for her nephew, Guy.
2 weeks ago, Morgan got a migraine. Morgan's migraine was not a normal migraine because it was caused by extra pressure in her head due to her body either making extra spinal fluid or not absorbing it.

Morgan has been in severe pain and in a matter of 2 weeks her eyesight was completely gone. Multiple doctors during this time period simply turned her away with painkillers without bothering to check out her eyes.

She has just had surgery that implanted an internal tube from her brain to her abdomen to relieve the pressure and this can be monitored from here on by a neurologist.

Morgan has been told by doctors she will never see again. Her optic nerve is dead. Currently she can see movement and vague outlines. She is home from the hospital now and is now starting to relearn life. From eating to walking to dressing, everything needs to be relearned.

However, for the first time in a long time, the pain is gone for her, and for that we are all grateful. Please understand that this is not a tragedy and this is not a death sentence. This is a challenge and she is taking it head on. Morgan is strong and she is still the exact same person we all know and love. She is handling this with more grace and steadfastness than most anyone could muster.

Many things to help her in her day to day life are going to be very costly. The screen reading software to allow her to use a computer again is $900, a seeing eye dog is $50,000.

We thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and donations. Any small amount helps!
