We are a Strike Force created by Volunteers and Veterans, true Patriots, that have decided not to stand by anylonger and witness a growing disgrace in our great country: Homeless Veterans

Having fought for us, securing our freedom, country and high morals, these brave Women and Men are not receiving the respect and assistance they deserve by their country. I lived personally for over 12 months side by side with homeles Vets in Newark NJ and New York City and have come to learn what is needed to give them back a life a stability and dignity. I gave up all comforts of daily life to become one of them, only this way was it possible not only to feel their daily pain but also to undertsand their dire needs.

We were told when we created the plan for this nation wide Strike Force that we would be trying to move montains but in reality all we have to do is move hearts, the hearts of true American Patriots willing to join, assist, donate and end this disgraceful neglegence towards our Heroes!

During my time on the streets and in many talks with our homeless Veterans it became clear how bad their situation really is. Many statements repeated themselfs such as:

“When you come home you’re foreclosed on your job is gone, and then they want you to go to shelters. And shelters pretty much housing criminals, drug addicts, and a lot of us can’t tolerate that lifestyle,” homeless U.S. army veteran Joe Mangione

"the real struggle is not when we are over there (Afghanistan), it is coming home and living on the streets after serving our country" homeless Navy Seal (Anonymous)

"We were prepared to serve, to fight, to be wounded or to die. However, when we came home we were not prepared to be forgotten!"

While battling for survival day by day on the streets with my fellow Vets it became clear how little they are cared for. I can not count the times we had to escort our Brothers, even Sisters off the streets to various hospitals such as St. Michaels in Newark (very helpful front desk staff, thanks again to you all) due to malnutricion and dehydration.
Veterans are, despite being beaten down day by day, very proud and would never resort to panhandling (begging) unless close to passing out, so they rely on the little that is given out from churches and other organisation on the streets. I was there when employees at Mc Donalds and Subway would turn down a Veterans plea for a cup of ice water during the blistering summer in 2017 even though they are obliged to help.
Life is a nightmare on the streets and I am honest I am still not over the experience but knowing that our Brothers and Sisters are still out there fighting day by day for survival in front of our very eyes makes me sick!

I gave my promise to all our homeless Veterans out there that they would not be forgotten and that we, the American people would have their backs. It has been calculated that the costs for immediate assistance in getting one Veteran off the streets, in housing, employed etc is about 1700 USD.
Our goal is to get at least 1000 off the steets with in the next 6 months. Yes, that is 1700x1000 in total 1.7 million USD, a sum that may seem incredible but so are we, the American People and let us not allow any other country to say:

We do not care for our own!

We kindly ask all US Patriots that care for our Women and Men suffering a fate they do not deserve on our streets to support us. All proceeds and donations go 100% to the cause.
