End Hit and Run Crimes in So Cal

Donation protected
In Los Angeles County, over 7,500 people a year are left to suffer on our streets as victims of hit and runs. Eighty percent of drivers involved never get caught.

Feb 2013 Damian Kevitt was on his bicycle in Griffith Park when he was hit by a car. Never stopping, the car dragged him onto the Golden State Freeway for nearly a quarter mile before he got free. Suffering from scores of broken bones and having lost one leg, Damian was lucky not be another deadly hit and run statistic.

In response to his accident Damian founded Finish the Ride, which has become a leading voice on traffic safety -- recently winning the Deborah Murphy Excellence in Advocacy Award. Finish the Ride’s primary goal is to end the epidemic of hit and runs killing the most vulnerable of road users: pedestrians and cyclists.

This March, Damian is running the LA Marathon -- his first Marathon (26.2 miles), a goal he set while recovering in the hospital -- to raise awareness and launch a compelling billboard campaign to make the streets safer for all.

Please help us attain our fundraising goal of $5,000 to start this far reaching project. Make a one time contribution or donate for every mile Damian completes of the LA Marathon. Play a role in supporting safe streets for all of us.

This time, Damian does want to be a statistic...for the benefit of everyone.
