We are seeking funds to provide Summer Art Camp Scholarships to children of low income families in our community. We are working with Crossroads School, OUR Center and the City of Longmont Children and Youth Resources to identify children who would benefit from our weekly art camps this summer. Our goal is to inspire and support the creativity of all future artists.
The cost per week, per child is $400. We are hoping to provide scholarships for 2 or more students per week, for 9 weekly summer camps. We will provide scholarships to new students every week. Any funds raised above our goal will be used to provide additional scholarships.
We hope to provide creative outlets for as many kids as possible. Therefore, Happy Hands will donate 1 extra scholarship for every 9 scholarships funded here.
The camps include a full day of instruction by a professional artist, and will include clay sculpture, pottery painting, glass fusing and canvas painting. Each day of camp also includes a nutritious lunch.
For a donation of $5 -$99, you will receive a hand written note along with a picture of your sponsored student. Donate $100 - $399, you will receive a hand written thank you note, as well as a hand made gift from one of our scholarship students. Sponsor a student for the week, $400 +, and receive all of the above, plus we will thank you personally on our website and Facebook page.
