Kevin's Medical Fund

Kevin became ill on Saturday, October 8th. Initially it was believed that he had the stomach flu or a sinus infection. When he did not improve he was taken to the ER in Lee's Summit. He was initially diagnosed with a brain bleed and transported to St. Luke's Hospital on the Plaza. He is in the NSICU at this time waiting for further treatment. 

Kevin will undergo brain surgery to remove a mass in the cerebellum and he has had a biopsy of his ribs after an MRI found lesions on his ribs, lungs, liver and brain. The results of the biopsy have yet to come back however, it is believed to be a reoccurrence of Melanoma. Kevin had Melanoma almost 4 years ago and according to the doctors this would be the time that the Melanoma would re-occur. 

The money raised will be used to help pay medical bills for Kevin's treatment and household bills. He has been in the NSICU for 8 days already and is facing more surgeries and treatments in the future. Due to Kevin’s previous surgeries and treatment for Melanoma he has been unable to work for 3 years, which has left the family with only one income. Unfortunately, Tricia is currently unable to work due to caring for Kevin in the hospital. Any money raised will provide peace of mind for Kevin, Tricia and their family to know they will be taken care of while Kevin is in the healing process.
