Keep WNC Families Warm this Winter

What’s Going On:

Hi, my name is Chase Jenkins - help us keep 50 WNC families warm this winter!

Your contributions will allow us to donate 50 cords of free firewood this winter to those deserving families in our area who need heating assistance.

You see there are many families here in Western North Carolina who use firewood to help themselves stay warm and/or prepare hot meals during the cold months every year.

Did you know...According to the US Census some 2.4 million American households (or 12 percent of all homes in the the US) now burn wood as their primary heating source?

This is a staggering number of familes who rely on firewood to heat and cook when compared to the 7 percent of households that use non-renewable fossil fuels like oil.

This is where our small firewood processing business can help...

This winter, we will donate emergency firewood to 50 families
(selected with the help of local Western North Carolina charities/agencies such as the Eblen Energy Program)

As a family-owned small business we understand just how hard it is to work and provide all the comforts you feel that your family deserves - especially during hard times.

This why we feel so strong about this Keep a Family Warm campaign...

For years, as one of the larger firewood producers in our community, we have always made it a point to help out any family who needed a load of wood to stay warm – rather they could afford to pay or not.

In the past, we couldn't help out as many folks as we could like due to the that our hand-bulit log splitter "The Mule" (picture above) was so slow.

However, recently we have had the good fortune to be able to expand our business (with the addition of a commerial style log-spitter called the Rapido Loco or “Crazy Fast”)

Now we can afford to give back to the community that has supported us all these years by launching our “Keep a Family Warm” campaign.

Our goal is to offer 50 full cords of wood - free - to those WNC families who need emergency heating assistance.

This should be enough firewood to heat the homes of at least 50 families (depending on their room sizes, weather and the efficiency of their wood burning stove.)

We plan on working closely with several local charities and/or non-profits such as the Eblen Energy Program  that is well known for helping both urban and rural families with emergency heating needs in and around Asheville and the WNC area.

With each donation, you can bring us  closer to keep a deserving family warm and toasty on a bitterly cold night this season!

If you donate to our program, as a perk we offer gift certificates to the Nutz About Fudge online store (the best buttery fudge EVER ), to limited edition Natural Timber Firewood t-shirts, to free credits on firewood -  cut and delivered directly to your WNC home or business.

We have perks for everyone who supports these families.

When you make a donation, you’ll receive an email thank you. In that email will be a link to your perk, and instructions with a unique code explaining how you can claim your perk. Simply follow the link, and use the code at check out to receive credit for your purchase.

Your donations will help us launch our "Keep a Family Warm" campaign.

Thank you for listening, sharing, and promoting "Keep a Family Warm."
