Lucky, as this very small one year old Chihuahua was named by the staff at the veterinarian clinic. After she was found under a tree in one of the area parks and taken to the clinic with something covering her tiny body; under examination it was determined she was suffering from chemical burns. Intentionally burned was the determination and left to suffer agonizing pain and a bleak out look for life. Lucky refused to eat, it was determined she also had burns in her throat, making it hard to shallow. Lucky has been under treatment for the last three weeks, healing is slow, she requires daily care; her favorite place to be in under a blanket while in the kennel. She will lose all her hair, it will take an extended perior of time for her hair to return.
Once Lucky is well, she will be available for adoption or rescue through the Minidoka Animal shelter.
