Jared Ornoski - Hodgkin's Lymphoma

The Ornoski Family received tragic news this week. It’s the type of news that no person ever wants to receive. Their son, Jared Ornoski, has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
At 17 years old, Jared is an exceptional young man. He has a deep and abiding faith in the Lord, and his walk in life reflects this. He is an avid outdoorsman who respects the balance of nature and enjoys hunting with firearms and archery while harvesting deer, javelina, and turkey.
Jared is involved in his school, Phoenix Christian, as an athlete, a member of the Theatre Club and National Honor Society.
In November 2014 Jared visited the doctor who determined that a lump on his lymph node needed to be biopsied. The results came back Monday, January 5, 2015, positive for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Treatment is inevitable and will involve chemotherapy and possibly radiation. This amazing young man is starting one of the most tenuous medical treatments we have, and he is scared. His family is scared.
It is going to be up to us, friends and family, new friends and sympathetic unknown friends, to build a financial support base that this family can turn to when the time comes. This has happened suddenly, with no warning and no ability to plan. In fact, we don’t really know where exactly this will go – only that it will go and Jared’s mom will take off work to be by his side, there will be unexpected expenses, and there will be medical costs that exceed what the insurance will cover.
Jared is a warrior and he will meet this fight head on with his faith and his passion for life. His parents & sister, Kendra, will be by his side. Anyone who knows the Ornoski family knows they have a deep rooted faith in the Lord and prayers will certainly be needed. In addition to prayers, the family will need financial support.
We are asking the community to help this family in any amount that they can, and we will keep everyone updated on Jared’s progress.
