We're Mia (@likhain) and Cy (@Sable_Fable). Mia is a queer Filipina artist, who immigrated from the Philippines to Australia two years ago to be with Cy, who is an all-around awesome queer Australian artist and writer.

Mia has been the sole income-earner of our household for one and a half years, but finances have been very tight -- we have only been able to pay all our bills, including medication costs, due to Mia's Patreon -- and we have both struggled with depression and other medical and life issues. In addition to that, Mia has been working in an environment that has been toxic to her mental health, and we had been making plans for Cy to find a job so that Mia could rest, recover, and go into art full-time, which has been a dream of hers for many years.
Things didn't work out as we wanted, however. This week, Mia had a breakdown triggered by work, which had us headed to the hospital ER due to suicide risk. Currently Mia is still suicidal and very unwell, and we cannot risk her going back to work.
This leaves us without an income, meager savings and a great deal of financial stress. Cy is desperately looking for a job, but work is not easy to come by, and we can't rely on her income for several weeks, at least. In the meantime we are very worried about making the rent, paying the bills, buying food and other expenses.
We are turning to you for help. We have been helped so much by our online community in the past -- both when Mia was kicked out of home due to homophobia (as she would not end her relationship with Cy), and when Mia was struggling to make ends meet and experience severe depression and hardship. We are sorry to ask for help again; we had hoped, by now, that we would be in a position to give back to the community, and help people the way we have been so generously and kindly helped in the past.
We can't do that right now. We want to do it in the future. But first we have to make sure we have a future.
The worry about how we'll make rent next month is a huge weight on us both; it's intensifying Mia's suicidal impulses, and is creating huge pressure for Cy, who's working as hard as she can to find a job. These funds will go to getting help for Mia, and paying for our rent, bills, medical expenses and food, giving us a buffer so we'll know we can last another month.
Please help us get through this difficult period. We want to keep believing that we can get through this, that things will get better. We are working our hardest and doing everything we can to get through it. But we can't do it alone.
