Since having lost my Mother, Toni to cancer in 2015, I felt it appropriate to update this campaign. I am a legally blind man receiving survivors benefits, so my income is limited. My Mom's home is facing foreclosure so I need to find a new place to live for myself and my dog, Gracie.
Housing assistance programs are setup to support people in my situation. However, most programs in Texas, where I live are currently closed to the application process and the programs I have successfully applied for have a waiting period of at least 2 years.
My goal with this campaign is to secure funds that allow me the opportunity to successfully transition to a better living situation, with a minimal amount left over for utility deposits and basic furnishings.
