RPT - WE NEED NEW DRUMS !!!!!

Since the inception of RPT (Riptide) Percussion Ensemble, we have been lucky to be able to borrow equipment from local schools and music organizations or purchase used ones no one wanted. Unfortunately, some of this equipment is worn, battered and old. We try our best to keep the pieces attached, but the cost and durability exceed the needs. Our greatest fear is during a performance or rehearsal, one of these drums falls apart and could cause a disaster to the performer or performers. Even during our 2014 FFCC Independent A Championship win, we had some drums duct taped together !!
We want our members to have the professional ensemble they deserve when they sign up, and some of that starts in the equipment they are given to perform on. We are looking t o upgrade our Snares, Multi-Tenors and Tonal Bass drums. In order to also compete on the next level, they need the proper instruments. Not instruments that are , in some instances, older than they are !!
Working with Yamaha Band and Orchestral Divison, they have offered us a very nice deal to purchase the battery equipment needed. Our members are working very hard to raise funds to not only pay their tuitions, but to help in offsetting these costs.
