Bre's Moving and Rent Fundraiser

Due to a recent falling out with my aunt I have been given an ultimatum of moving out by the 15th despite her knowledge of my inability to do so. She is not willing to allow me sufficient time to gather funds, nor to help me herself. Her only “help” was writing a ridiculous “contract” that was filled with false information and enough spelling and grammatical errors to give an English teacher a heart attack. Said contract included short timeframes and frivolous demands as well as giving her ownership of all my belongings. I was told I had to sign the contract or I would immediately be kicked out, yet the contract itself didn’t guarantee she wouldn’t do so anyways at her leisure as I had no reason to trust she wouldn’t do so. I managed to get her to throw out that contract and work a new contract so that I will have until the 15th to find a place to stay before she kicks me out.

This leaves me in a tough place; I have no funds, no local friends to back me up, no family to rely on, and a rapidly approaching deadline. I have found refuge with someone somewhat close but I will have to get myself there, and a moving truck is about $600. My aunt has also demanded the return of “her” computer despite it being a gift to me, which has forced me into needing to “purchase” it from her. Without that agreement I wouldn’t be able to even type this right now. Fortunately someone has already offered me a computer so I don’t actually have to pay for this one, that helps, but there’s still the moving truck.

My goal is to get $1000 if possible, to cover the moving truck and any other immediate needs during the process and anything extra will go to the people who have offered me a place to stay. It’s amazing what situations you can end up in when your family stares at you like a stranger, and unfortunately it’s a tight spot to be in.
