Alexander Vol. Fire Ambulance Fund

We desperately need funds to help cover the cost of a new ambulance!  The Alexander Volunteer Fire Department ambulance is a 100% volunteer ambulance squad.  We are a part of the Alexander Volunteer Fire Department in rural Western New York.  We are a small farming community and our department is made up of hard-working community volunteers.  Our members are not paid for our medical training and we are not paid for our service. When members of our community call 911, we respond to their emergencies without cost to the patient or their insurance company. Our ambulance receives no funding from the local government and is funded ENTIRELY by donations and fundraisers.
WE NEED A NEW AMBULANCE TO CONTINUE PROVIDING CARE TO OUR NEIGHBORS! Our current ambulance is 15 years old and it's condition is declining fast. (Normally ambulances are replaced every 10 years but our finances have not allowed for that). We anticipate it will take us five years or more to raise the approximately $150,000 needed for a new ambulance.  In this weak economy, the service we provide is invaluable. Without a new ambulance, we will be forced to end ambulance services to our community, leaving them to rely on out of town, for-profit ambulance services.  We are hoping that anyone seeing this campaign will feel moved to help us out, with ANY amount being greatly appreciated!!!!
