For some time now, I have wanted to gain some basic medical knowledge. To be honest, I wanted to be able to help people physically without having to spend years in school. Now is my chance!
From 27 June - 05 December, I will be a part of a school called Introduction to Primary Health Care (IPHC). This school is a part of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and will take place in Worcester, South Africa. So, during this time, I will be taking a break from my ministry in Rwanda in order to study and practice what I have learned.
This school has two parts - a lecture phase and an outreach phase. During the lecture phase, experienced medical professionals will teach not only the practical side of medical missions, but also the spiritual and emotional side. Next, is the outreach phase. This will take place somewhere in Africa (exact location is not yet determined) and will be an opportunity to apply what was taught in lectures.
I am so excited for this opportunity to learn! After completing this school, I will be returning to Rwanda to work with APRECOM. I am excited to apply what I learn with the men, women and children that I currently work with.
I need your help! In order to get to South Africa, I need to do some major fundraising! Please pray with me as I fundraise and prepare to go. Would you be willing to be a financial partner? Here is what I will need:
