Hopes and joys of a New Year are never more resounding than on New Years Day. But for one in our New Orleans community the life of a dear friend and business associate became more than one person should ever bear.
10 years ago Leslie Lange lost one of her 2 sons to a random murder on the streets of her quiet Gentilly neighborhood. No mother should ever have to loose a child before her own death.
Yesterday, New Years Day, the news in New Orleans reported the very first murder of 2015. A tragedy in itself.
While a loving husband and son were tinkering with the truck in their front yard on a sunny New Orleans afternoon, a hail of bullets from a random drive by shooting once again struck Leslie Lange's life.
Leslie's loving husband and her only living child were senselessly murdered by that barage of gunfire.
I am posting this in hopes of finding a little money for Leslie. I, along with her friends and colleagues are hoping that we can help in this simple way. We don't want her to have to worry about her finances at this tragic time.
No amount is too small and every bit of it will go directly to Leslie.
Thanks too all who have taken the time to read this post.
