Jenna's Medical Fund

For those of you who don't know Jenna, she is a 27 year old living in a small town in northern Wisconsin. She is a hard-working, loving, genuine person who has been fighting Polycythmia Vera, a slow-growing blood cancer. Over time, if treatments are unsuccessful, Polycythmia Vera can progress to more serious blood cancers, such as leukemia. Jenna's doctors have informed her that she is in need of a bone marrow transplant as she has stopped responding to her other treatments. She has already begun the transplant progress, having family members tested and ultimately being placed on the transplant list.

Through all of this, Jenna has had to delay her personal life, unsure if she would ever be able to have children. Her doctors have informed Jenna that if she wants to have her own biological children, she needs to go through the process of having her eggs frozen before she undergoes the bone marrow transplant. As you can imagine, this is a time sensitive and very costly medical procedure.

This is where all of you come in. Jenna has had an outpouring of support, people asking how they can help, how to get tested to possibly donate bone marrow, money etc. The bone marrow part is difficult for all of us to help with, as odds are not in our favor but we can help Jenna achieve her dream of becoming a mother. As if the actual medical bills aren't enough, Jenna has had to travel to Madison for all of these tests, adding on travel expenses, as well as taking the time off of work.
