In 2007, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer; though she went through remission the cancer has now metastasized to her brain and other vital organs. Recently we have come to the realization that this may be the last leg, the final stride. We're looking at a few days, months, even though we all hope for years. My mother has struggled with money all her life and now with several years worth of medical bills piling up, she fears that we will soon have to go through that struggle too. As of yesterday (Sunday, February 1, 2015) my mother has passed away. She was kind, generous, loving; and I am glad to know that she will be loved and remembered by many as time goes on. Her wish was for her family and herself to live a life free from financial struggle. Thanks to those who have donated I am happy to say we have taken that small leap into the void. I would like to thank those of you who have donated and those who will. I know my mother would be so grateful for your help and consideration during this tough time. We would like to keep this fundraiser going, it would be an amazing thing to see a community of people united by their generosity and kindness towards my family, as well as their love for my mother come together to support us in this time of need. Though I am only 15 I believe this has been and will be the most kindness I will have ever experienced in my lifetime. Wherever my mother is I believe she is grateful for all of you who wish to support us during this difficult time.
