Friends.

I’m just writing to inform you of my recent trip to Juba. The purpose was to seek future job assurance, and I am so happy to say it was successful.  I started the road trip from Kampala Uganda on Saturday, with a friend. We went in the car that he was returning to its owner in Juba. The can had been bough to be used for public transport in South Sudan, as a business.

Thank you Kevin for supporting the Covid test and travel Visa! Upon arrival I had to find a way to meet the new Governor of Warrup, who is my wife’s uncle. It was not easy to meet him but it finally happened at 8pm. It was a great moment. After greetings, he asked how my family is doing, and I answered well, but I need to find work to support my family, either in the States or in Juba. He asked me about schooling, and I told him I will start in January doing remote classes in Accounting at North Seattle College in Washington State, towards a Certificate in Accounting. He wanted to know when I would have the certificate, and I told him in two semesters - which means winter and spring of 2021.

Well at this moment, South Sudan is working on formation of local governments which will be in place next year. My father-in-law suggested the possibility of a job in Governor Coordinating office in Juba, South Sudan. He added that there are many directories in that office, such as Director for NGO’s, Accounting departments, etc. I will hope to pursue work in an Accounting department since I have experience in education towards an accounting Achievement.

This is very exciting news to update all of you, who been supporting me and family for this past year. I want you to know how grateful my family and I are for your help. I hope to have income and a job some time in 2021, but we have to make it until then. We would feel indeed blessed if you are able to provide some more help with expenses for the next year. We may be able to start a small business, while doing online schooling. One idea would be to buy a van which could be used to transport travelers from Juba to the Uganda border. It will help us earn some money in the mean time. It costs $5000 here in Juba, and if it is bought in Uganda it will cost $7000.

Our rent is $300 per month for our family’s small house in Kampala. Food, water, power and other expenses are a total of $500 a month. My tuition is $1300 total, for the two classes at North Seattle colleges in Washingon State in the upcoming semesters. I’m just asking  for this  period of jan to October of 2021. I will be returning to Uganda in the next few days. I’m writing while still in Juba South Sudan.

Thank you very much and God is Blessing you all.
