Kitten Might Have Cancer :(

Donation protected

This is Kitten, the light of my life; the most selfless, kind, purely good creature I have ever known (don't tell my other cat I said that). When we met, Kitten was a stray with a broken leg; she was about three months old and incredibly skittish. She lived in an abandoned barn behind my old apartment and I'd feed her. It took weeks to gain enough trust for her to let me pet her, but I did.. and eventually caught her and took her to the vet for her leg. The vet said it was dead weight and had to come off. The original plan was to set her free after the leg amputation but the other strays outside kept getting hit by cars and she also ended up bonding with my other cat (her big sister is her hero - see picture below).

That was almost nine years ago. Since then, she's gone from the cat that hears a pin drop and bolts 20 miles, without looking back; to my cuddle champion that sleeps in my arms every night. I've lost jobs and girlfriends and experienced every hardship in between and my cats have always been my rock. I still have all these dreams of getting a place with a yard for her to run around in and building her a custom cat tree (with low levels, so she doesn't put too much pressure on her leg). I figured we have another 10 or so years together to do all these things.. then, all of a sudden, things took a turn for the worst. She started throwing up daily and lost HALF her body weigh (she's down to about 5.5 lbs). The weight loss is noticeable, even in her face and I can feel every bone when I pet her. She's normally the cat that never shuts up, meowing 24/7 for no reason at all, but now she's sitting in a corner, lethargic and non-responsive, even to her favorite treats.. it's breaking my heart.

The initial vet visit they said it was most likely hyperthyroidism, a kidney issue or cancer. They did blood work and ruled out everything except cancer (such a scary word to hear). I've been crying almost anytime I'm alone (and I'm a grown ass man). The next step is an ultrasound/biopsy (to see if it's Inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatitis or cancer) and that costs $771. I just need to find out what it is so I can start taking steps to fixing it as soon as possible. I would normally never ask for money but I am a financial mess; I currently have five pay day loans as well as an advance on my paycheck at work.. even with all that, I'm behind on every bill and just paid last month's rent two days ago. I'm in survival mode.. my finances are a mess and I'm aware.. I'm basically scraping by but I'm working to fix it and should be in a really good financial place by March. I wasn't anticipating this curve-ball though and all of a sudden, March is so far away! It's so hard to feel helpless when my baby's health is on the line. I wanna get the ultrasound and move forward and do everything I can before it's too late.

As broke as I am, I donate to shelters and other animal causes at least once a month. I never knew much about this site until a friend mentioned it. If I raise enough for Kitten's medical treatments, I promise to pay it back by donating however much I raise (and more) to future pets that need help on here.

Thanks for taking the time to read all this.

Anything at all would be greatly appriciated!!!

Thank you so much!!!!!!
