Duke's Medical Bills

Our little buddy Duke has been with us since he was about 1 month old, which is just over a year and a half he has been our little nugget. He's healthy, happy, playful, friendly, and sweet. He loves running through trees and bushes at Golden Gate Park, and chasing his ball into the waves on Ocean Beach. His rambunctious antics got the better of him on Thurdsay, December 18th, when he was running around a local path in the City. He approached a barrier thinking it was just another obstacle to hop over, as he often does with fallen trees, and low fences and such. This wall, however, was a retaining wall that seperated the two varing levels of the same road that cut through the hills of the city. He tried to correct himself to keep from going over, but his momentum carried him over and fell some 20 to 30 feet down to the concrete below, landing hard on his head. After rushing him to the nearest emergency vet facility, we were happy to hear that he should be alright. As far as they can see he is responding to most of the tests they ran him through, and shows no signs of serious head trauma at this time. We are hoping that after this night's stay in the vet's office he will be cleared to come home and hopefully return to his old self, the energetic puppy dog we fell in love with (though, hopefully a little more cautious in the future). This accident came suddenly, as these things due, and is resulting in our finaces taking a toll from the initial estimate for the care he is recieving. Currently, it is estimated at anywhere from $1500 to $2500 hundred, should he require no further treatment.  Any and all help would be vastly appreciated and go along way to helping us get through this and in getting out buddy Duke back to running through the park, and splashing at the beach.
