On December 12th, Colin Acumen was brutally attacked by a man suspected of multiple accounts of rape and assault.
This is her account of what happened:
Trigger warnings, NSFW, Importatnt to Riverwesters: Guess who didn't get raped last night? This woman right here.There is a dangerous person targeting women walking alone in Riverwest right now. He is armed (didn't sound like a real gun, but had enough weight to it to do the following damage) He didn't try to rob me, he was only trying to rape me. This is what he did/this is how dangerous: I escaped with four lacerations in the back of the head requiring 15 staples, ten stiches in my noes, six stiches in my lip, and my two fromt teeth were set back in my head -they have a splint for now, but may need to be pulled. I pleaded with him, didn't follow him any further, and screamed for help. Luckily, help came and I was able to escape with the help of some real life superhero type people, but this guy is still out there. Do not walk alone in Riverwest right now (this was specifically by Snails Crossing playground on Bremen and around 7pm). Be careful and if use your instincts. If you think you can fight back, do it. If you do not, you are not at fault. We all know that and we support you. Do whatever you need to do to survive. And to my assailant, you apartently thought you were dealing with someone frightful and compliant, but you ran into me instead. I spit on your grave.
