Officer Alan Smith

On December 16, 2014 Officer Alan Smith with the McLoud Police Department was involved in a horrible traffic accident while on duty.  At approximately 7:00 am Officer Smith's patrol car was hit by a garbage truck on Highway 102 near Parkwood in McLoud.  Officer Smith's vehicle was hit on the driver's side pinning him in the vehicle for approximately 45 minutes.  Officer Smith was then flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.  Doctor's say Officer Smith will survive but he will have a long and hard road ahead of him.  Officer Smith has been on the McLoud Police Department for approximately 3 years.  He has a 5 year old son, a fiance' and a baby on the way.  Please give from your heart as Officer Smith has always been prepared to give the ultimate for his family and his community.
