Hello All!
I hope this email finds you in great spirits this holiday season. My name is Diann Valentine and I am an accomplished wedding, event, interior designer and television personality. I am also a wife, mother and grandmother, whose heart goes out to a family that has recently experienced unspeakable pain! By now, we have all heard of the tragic death by murder of Mr. Eric Garner by an NYPD officer on July 17, 2014. Eric Garner was a husband and the father of 6 children. His family has lost their provider and will no doubt suffer unexpected, immediate financial hardship after this tragic, senseless and devastating loss.
I, along with Sheree Fletcher (Hollywood Exes), April Daniels (Tamar & Vince), Treiva Williams (TV Producer - VH1, BET, WEtv & TVONE) and Sandra Campbell, will be hosting a fundraiser on the evening of Tuesday, December 23rd in the Penthouse at The Hotel Angeleno in Los Angeles. We have garnered a trememndous amount of support in Hollywood with a host committee that includes MC Lyte, Tichina Arnold, Nicole Murphy, Shamicka Lawrence, LaShawn Daniels, Terrell Mullin, Elizabeth Bonds, Mechelle Epps, Daphne Wayans, Meredith Adkins, Erica & Warryn Campbell, Damon Thomas and Cindy Virani, Shanna Moakler, PJ and Kortni Morton, Tameka Raymond, Miss Dunnie O, The Wright Sisters of YES Productions, Omarosa, and Mayte Garcia. As fellow mothers, sisters and working entrepreneurs in Hollywood, we all have been incredibly blessed and feel compelled to raise our voices and help The Garner during this emotionally challenging time. Although Eric is gone, we know that this battle has only begun in the quest to find answers and justice. If you are unable to attend the event, please be in contribution by helping us reach our goal of $20,000 to donate to Eric Garner's wife and family. EVERY PENNY OF MONEY COLLECTED WILL GO TO MRS. GARNER and will aid in providing for their children, her legal fees, and whatever she may need to make this terrible time a bit easier for her and her loved ones. Let's get together in support of our sister in this struggle and donate whatever we can afford.
