#iCANHELP
campaign needs your help to support their vision of spreading the word about
deleting negativity and bullying on social media and promoting positivity
across the state of California and the United States. Inspired by a
concerned student that came to her after a fake, scathing Facebook page was
created for a local teacher, leadership teacher Kim Karr
co-founded #icanhelp. Kim realized that students wanted to do something about
all the bullying and negativity on social media sites, they just needed the
tools to do it. The #icanhelp message is clear- one person has the power to
make a difference and erase negativity in their lives and online. Through assemblies, social media, presentations, and online videos, Kim empowers students to
control the influences in their lives. Using
three main steps online: 1. Posting only positive messages, 2. Reporting
inappropriate posts, and 3. Stopping negative talk with positivity, Kim is
teaching students to take the power back.
The money raised for the #iCANHELP campaign will be used to:
1. Set up a central website (#icanhelp currently has Facebook, Instagram and Twitter sites).
2. Create marketing materials to get corporate or small business sponsors.
3. Create print material, including flyers, stickers, and posters to distribute to students at schools who have seen the #icanhelp presentation.
4. Pay for logo design and trademarking of #icanhelp.
Please help us launch this amazing program and give more kids the opportunity to learn how to deal with the growing problem of bullying and negativity on social media.
Thank you for your consideration and donation (if you chose!)- no matter how small!
