Kidney For Thomas Burrow
Donation protected
Ivey Thomas Burrow (also known as "Bolo") is in need of a kidney transplant. During the week of Thanksgiving we found out that he has made it on the waiting list for a kidney transplant. The Georgia Regents Kidney Transplant Program explained to us that the costs associated with the transplant are extremely high and that his insurance will help pay for some but not all of the costs for the surgery and medications needed to keep his new organ. Medicare will only pay 80% of immunosuppressant medication expenses, leaving him paying for the rest. This may not sound like much but the cost of only 3 of the medications needed after transplant is about $715 per month. The 20% he will have to pay will be around $143 per month every month. His wife, Pebble Burrow, unfortunately had to leave her job at Pine Shadows Retirement Manor in order to care for him and take him to dialysis and other doctor visits several times a week. He has 4 children. 3 of which are adults who are out of school and on their own. His youngest son is Eric Burrow (a junior at WCHS & #6 of the Worth County Rams Football Team). We will be accepting donations until a healthy kidney becomes available, or until we reach our goal. Anything that you can help us with is greatly appreciated. Every little bit helps! Thank you.
