Sarah's WJMC Money

Hi, I'm Sarah Davis. In 2014, I started writing for some sports websites, and I really loved it. On December 2, 2014, I received a letter from George Mason University, and they invited me to go to the Washington Journalism and Media Conference in Washington D.C in July of 2015. The thing is, my family really doesn't have the money for it, and we all feel like it would be a great opporunity for me to go. I don't ask for handouts often, but I really want this to happen for me. I've worked very hard, and I know I deserve this. At this point, the only thing that's holding me back is the money.

TO BE CLEAR: The trip only costs $1950 for me, but I would really like for a parent (or both) to go with me. I said 4,000 just because I know they would want to do something during the day, and not sit in a hotel.
