In Memory of Darryl Weeden

Captain Darryl Weeden of San Jose FD Truck 35C passed away unexpectedly November 27th, 2014. He leaves behind a wife and four children, as well as a large extended family which includes his fire department brothers and sisters.

He loved being a father, a husband, a fireman and a friend and always gave more than what was asked of him. He had a good heart, a kind soul and was fit and ready to take on all challenges.

Before starting his life as a fire fighter, Darryl served as an Army Airborne Ranger in Panama as part of the Special Forces Recon Division during the US invasion to oust President Noriega.

Darryl began rebuilding his family home a few years ago and, after his 24 hour shifts at the fire house, would labor into the night crafting the home he and his family designed together. Tragically, he passed away before the house was completed and now we would like to help fund its finalization so that his family can move back in and enjoy his legacy.

Darryl has left an impression on all those who knew him, through his laughter, strength, and caring personality

Rest in Peace Darryl. You are missed!
