Hughes Bakery Startup Fund

Hughes Bakery is a local and family run business start up in the Northside neighborhood of Perry South in Pittsburgh started by Taqiyya Hughes.

Taqiyya is a full time mother, cooks, bakes and decorates custom cakes as well as being a caretaker weekend nights from 9PM-9AM. Taqiyya's goal is to raise enough money to build her dream kitchen in the basement of her house so that she can make a living and support her family from what she loves to do.
Hughes Bakery will be help build local business and creatitivity in the North Side community, and will serve as an acessible space for her neighbors for home baked goods .  

The funds raised will go towards renovating Taqiyya's basement into a functional and fully operating bakery.
Budget : $26,000 (All of the materials will be bought from local businesses when possible, and labor will be hired from workers in the community.)
