"2018" Production

Next Generation Theatre Company was formed in 2011 with it's inaugural production of the musical "bare" at Swain Hall on the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill.  The inspiration to produce the musical came from a road trip down to Florida to catch another production that we were doing for our local high school.  My best friend put a cd in the player and said listen to this and let me know what you think.  Needless to say that was the soundtrack to "bare" and the ride was pretty silent.  Once it finished the blood was pumping and the words "we have to produce that show" were spoken and the rest is history.  NGT has produced every other year and most of the funding has been from my personal savings scraping by on the kindness of places willing to donate space.  We produced the show "[title of show]" in 2013 for two weekends and jumped from venue to venue but it was a success of several levels.  Coming into our third production we'd like to really get the word out and start with a good base of funding to increase the production values as well as to pay for services that have been donated for the past two shows.  NGT's mission is to produce theatre to enlighten, excite and educate our performers and audience members.  Our hope is to establish ourselves in the triangle area, expand to include a NGT Kids Konservatory and build a facility for production and classes.  Thank you for your time and potential assistance in our quest!
