Prayers for Emily Janelle

Donation protected

Emily Janelle Jarquin was diagnosed with an sPNET (Supratentorial primitive neuroectodermal tumor) on November 26, 2014 and had surgery November 28th, 2014. On December 18, 2014 Olivia (Emily's mother) received news that Emily needed to be admitted immediately to start treatment (chemotherapy) due to it being an aggressive tumor. While at the hospital, MRI Results came back that the tumor was back and had grown, so now Emily will postpone Chemotherapy and have a second Craniotomy to remove the tumor, she ended up spending the Christmas Holiday at the Hospital, she started Chemo on New Years Eve 2014, the very first day of chemo, her Med comp catheter leaked so it had to be replaced on January 2, 2015, they spent 10 more days at the hospital, as soon as they were discharged.

Emily was readmitted to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles for Neutropenia and she caught CDiff at Kaiser, they spent an additional week before she was discharged, since then, she completed 5 cycles of Chemo resulting in one week of hospitalization for Chemo and another week for neutropenia.

Her mother is not employed and the father has to stay at the hospital most days as Emi has shown signs of anxiety when he is not there.

Although his employer has been supportive of the days he has to take off, he has not paid during absence.

She will be starting her last round of High Dose Chemo followed by a stem Cell rescue at the end of the month causing her to be hospitalized for a minimum of 5 weeks.

I would like to ask you for a small donation to help Olivia, Emilio, Emily and Ariana through these hard times, they live in Lancaster, Ca and have to travel almost 2 hours each way to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles at least 5x a week for radiation. Fuel costs are almost $30 a day.

Your donation will help with fuel, meals and bills as the family is spending most of their time in route to or at the hospital.

Let's help them alleviate the financial burden that has grown in the last year so they can continue to focus on helping Emily beat her brain cancer.

The Jarquin family's faith in God is strong and would appreciate prayers more than anything.

Thank you from the Jarquin-Valdovinos Family.
