Hobo Safe Camp

Back in the early part of the 20th Century when hobos still roamed the country by rail, coming across a Hobo Safe Camp was a blessing. It was in these pockets of humanity that hobos found a place to clean up, some warm food for their empty stomachs, a safe bed to sleep in for the night, and--most importantly--some friendly people to laugh with and compare stories.

Here in the 21st Century, jumping a freight car isn't so easy and hobos have become a rare sight in the world. Today's hobos travels the astral plane and seek adventure in their minds. But the need for human interaction is still necessary. This is your chance to meet up with like-minded individuals who are coming together to form a singular consciousness, abiding by the Hobo Code, which means looking out for your fellow humans.

Hobo Safe Camp is a non-profit organization (501C status pending) that serves as a peaceful sangha that meets twice yearly (the next is scheduled for March 23-26, 2018 in the Mojave Desert, California), providing a forum where members can openly and safely discuss spiritual, artistic, literary, scientific, religious, charitable, educational, and similar topics. We strive to create and support the creation of art, including fine arts, mundane arts, literature, sculpture, glass blowing, painting, architecture, music, theatre, film, and multimedia.

Our main motivator is to create a physically, mentally, and spiritually healthy community at a social media level so we can create positive change at the various local levels of our members around the world.

Hobo Safe Camp provides an online sanctuary and a group voice for and on behalf of all those who are persecuted, harassed, discriminated against, censored, raped, beaten, tortured, and/or killed for their sincerely held religious and/or spiritual beliefs.

Hobo Safe Camp is completely free of any exclusions on the basis of race, color, sex, disability, affectional or sexual orientation, age, national origin, or adherence to any particular interpretation of religion or any particular religious belief or creed.
