Help Mary Care for Her Baby

It’s 2 a.m. and Mary just finished warming a bottle for her 14 month old daughter who is crying in her crib. Working all day and taking care of her 7 year old son and the baby all evening, Mary is now falling asleep on her feet but sits down to feed her baby, all the time worrying that she may be pregnant again. Her abusive husband has finally moved out but now she worries how she is going to provide her children everything they need, especially if another little one is on the way. She wonders, “What am I to do? Who can I turn to? Who can help me?”
We all have had a moment of crisis when we have felt lost, not having the resources necessary, and needing help to take care of our most precious loved ones. This is the dilemma that many of the moms and moms-to-be at Emmanuel House International (EHI) face. They are looking for someone to help them so that they can provide the quality of life their family deserves but can’t afford. So they come to Emmanuel House International hoping for a real solution to their very real dilemma.
Working with moms and moms-to-be as they try to support their babies, their families and themselves, I know the importance of providing a resource such as Emmanuel House International where woman can receive free diapers, formula, baby supplies, clothing, and other much-needed emergency resources so they can provide a safe and loving home. Every day moms and moms-to-be come through EHI's door and they are helped however possible. And while EHI has served more than 300 moms and moms-to-be like Mary in the last 18 months as a NYS Public Charity (primarily serving Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess Counties), with more coming through EHI's door every day, I struggle to find funding to keep the doors open as EHI waits for its 501(c)3 to be finalized.
Just as the moms and moms-to-be who come to EHI are facing a crisis, so too will EHI be facing a crisis if the funds needed to keep the doors open are not found. You can help raise the necessary funds - You can make a difference! Your gift will help ensure that moms and moms-to-be in crisis have a place to go to find what they need to take care of their babies and their families.
This is what your gift can do:
* $25 - provides 1 week of either diapers, formula or support services
* $50 - provides 2 weeks of either diapers, formula or support services
* $100 - provides 1 month of either diapers, formula or support services
* $250 - provides 1 month of diapers and formula as well as support services
* $500 - provides 2 months of diapers and formula as well as support services
* $1000 - provides 4 months of diapers and formula as well as support services
* $3000 - provides 1 years of diapers and formula as well as support services
