Mama - Hermitage Cafe's Cancer Fund
Nashville icon Linda "Mama" Caldwell has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer, leaving her unable to continue working at the legendary Hermitage Cafe as she has for the last 23 years.
She has touched the lives of so many generations of Nashville residents over her career, and we, as a community, owe it to her to keep her living in her apartment during her painful treatments.
Almost everyone in this town has found themselves needing a delicious meal after 3am, and she has always greeted everyone with a smile & fed many of us even when we didn't have the money to eat.
She's seen countless "up & coming" musicians rise to superstars, and she can tell you more about this town's history than any book! If you just take the time to sit down with her, you'll learn more about the ins & outs of the world's famous country musicians because she has waited on ALL of them at one time or another. She's got a story about everyone. She truly is one of Nashville's unsung heroes because she has been there to take care of us when everyone else has already gone home...
