Housing and medical expenses

Hi, My name is Jeritta,
I am a former EMT/Firefighter and search and rescue worker.  I have always been proud of the job I've done to serve and protect and help others.
I was born with some inherited genetic diseases that are neurological and affect different parts of my body. I have Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and that effects the nerves and muscles of my legs and arms then eventually other parts of my body such as swallowing and breathing.  I am in a wheelchair now from my CMT.  I also have something called Trigeminal Neuralgia this is where the nerve (trigeminal nerve) as it comes out of the brainstem is effected by having a vessel either lying against it or wrapped around it. This causes constant irritation and pain in this nerve that affects the whole side of the head and face. It causes what has been termed the worst pain known to mankind or often called "the suicide disease". I have had many different proceedures and surgeries done to correct this and will always have this and effects of this for the rest of my life .
I need a wheelchair to get around and that also means i need transportation aid to get around. I have to pay for these services.  Also there are special clinics and conferences that are people with these very rare diseases and the even more event of people that have the combonation of these diseases. These are very helpful in my health and treatment. They are also very helpful in my mental state as it is very hard to talk to other people with either of these diseases because they are so rare. It is nice to go to a clinic or conference to get to be with others.
As for equipment i need ramps and I need equipment for showers. I also need equipment for cars to make it easier to load and unload me and my chair.  I need special silverware too so I can eat without dropping my food. I also need things around the house like stoves with the buttons on the front or appliances with the controls on the front so that i can reach them.  Little things people don't think of everyday can be a big obsticle for me.

I appreciate any and all help. I spent my career helping others and the last thing i ever want to do is have to come to others for help for me. Thank you all in advance for your help and also remember  Charcot-Marie-Tooth and also Trigeminal Neuralgia are both rare neurological diseases with no cure.
