Help Jack Rebuild After Stroke and Injury
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Michaela, and I’m reaching out to support Jack, a kindhearted and independent man who’s facing immense challenges. After a stroke, a broken femur, and overwhelming medical bills, he’s currently living out of his van. We’re raising $3,000–$5,000 to help pay off his medical debt and cover move-in fees for a stable, safe home, giving him the chance to rebuild his life.
Jack is the kind of person who’d give you the shirt off his back. He’s always been fiercely independent, working hard to support himself and bring joy to those around him. But life has been relentless. About a year ago, he lost his home and began living in his van. Just as he was close to securing a new place, a stroke landed him in the hospital. He fought hard, relearning to walk while staying with his daughter. Then, a devastating fall broke his femur, requiring emergency surgery with rods placed in his leg. After weeks in a rehab facility, the medical bills piled up, leaving him with a heavy financial burden and forcing him back to van life. He never expected to be in this position, struggling under such debt, instability, and physical limitations. Even in the rehab center, Jack’s warm spirit shone through. He’d sing to other residents in the hallways, share corny jokes to keep everyone laughing, and pass out candy bars when he could, lifting spirits despite his own hardships. That’s just who he is—a man who brings light to others, no matter the circumstances. He’s always had a wonderful sense of humor, as you can see below!

Now, he’s working diligently on physical therapy, determined to regain his independence.
Your donation will help pay off a portion of his medical bills and cover move-in fees (first month’s rent, security deposit, and utilities), estimated at $3,000-$5,000 total, to get Jack into a safe home. Every penny will be managed securely through GoFundMe. Please give what you can—$5, $10, or more helps so much. If you can’t donate, sharing this on social media or with friends means everything. Thank you for your kindness and for helping this incredible man get back on his feet!
