Help Piper Visit The Vet

Donation protected
Piper has been acting sick for about a week now!! She's been very clingy, picky with food and had watery eyes but I thought it was probably not a big deal. She’s had watery eyes off and on ever since then though & now I can see her “third eyelids” covering 1/3 of both her eyes. I looked it up online and still thought maybe she was still just a little sick and it would go away until last night (Feb 3rd)

She crawled on top of me to sleep and started hacking up a fur ball but instead of a fur ball she just heaved up a bunch of clear liquid. Then out of nowhere she cried out and collapsed onto her side. She stopped breathing and just completely seized up.

I tried kitty CPR but quickly realized I had no idea how to do that so I just started hitting her back to try and force her to breath. After a while (not sure how long because I was panicked and it felt like ages) she did start breathing again and sat up. She seemed shaken up but alright. Her breathing was jagged and her heart rate was out of control but I think that was out of fear?

When I went to put her back in bed I noticed the blanket was COVERED in that clear liquid. I think it was pouring out of her mouth while she was seized up and I was busy freaking out so I must not have noticed. I have no idea what’s going on and I’m TERRIFIED.

The Google searches I've done say it COULD be a lot of very scary things but they can’t say for sure without a trip to the vet. She’s a bit over 5 years old and she’s EVERYTHING to me. I’m mentally ill and she’s all I have, truly. My best friend. I don’t leave the house much (hence the cat being my BFF thing) because of my mental health which means I’m not currently working. I'm in the process of applying for disability but in the meantime I have no income, no money at all and I need help!

I need Piper for support, I don't know how I would manage without her. I have reached out to almost every vet in my county (Sacramento) and have sent out a lot of emails and phone calls begging for free or low cost assistance. I’m not sure how much I’ll need because I’m not sure what kind of care she'll need yet but my main goal is to just get her in front of a vet ASAP and the last time I had an emergency visit to the vet it was SO expensive!!

Please donate any amount you can to help Piper, no amount is too small, it all adds up! If you can’t personally do anything to help financially, please consider sharing the campaign because you might know someone who can!
