I was robbed and need help...

In the past 6 months, I've been robbed 3 damn times. The first time, I was mad as hell, but I bounced back fairly quick, because I had a little bit of money saved, and 2 good friends chipped in to help. The second time, I had no savings, and only because of the timing, was I able to work enough shifts and make enough tips to meet the bills (by the skin of my teeth, but I did it). Neither of those times did I panic (well okay, I panicked a little, but who wouldn't?) - because I felt pretty certain I could recover quick enough to avoid disaster.

This time though, I'm panicking big time. Because this time, they hit me on the friggin day before the 1st of the month and the rotten SOB's didn't just steal a little money, or even just the days tips. This time, they got my whole purse - credit card, money, SS card, all of it. I already did all the things I'm supposed to do when your purse is stolen - I called the card company, cancelled this thing, reported that thing - and in time (like 2-3 weeks UGH) I will receive replacements for my reloadable credit card etc.

In the meantime, I am SOL because what they *can't* replace is the cash they got from me. Those dirty rotten *E$%&(@($  cleaned me out - they got all my savings from the past 3 weeks - which was the rent money and the power bill - all in one greedy grab. I almost never carry that much cash on me, especially after the first two robberies. But I did bring it all with me last night because I needed to go get a money order for the rent after work, as soon as the store opened. I thought I was saving myself time, that I could just sit and chill, read a book for a bit and wait for the courtesy counter to open so that I could get my money order and drop it off before I went to sleep. (You sleep weird hours when you get off work at 4-5am). All I did was go in to get something to drink and when I came back out, my window was gone and so was my purse.

I'm freaking out and not sure what the hell to do. Those who aided me before aren't able to now (they are dealing with their own crisis at the moment including layoffs) and I'm outta ideas. I have a short window of time (9 days) to replace three weeks income and there is no way I can do it. I can make enough tips in the next few days to take care of whatever I can arrange with the power bill before it goes off, but not the rent. And every day the rent is overdue, they nail me with more fees (it's maddening).

So I took my friend's advice and came here, to ask the world at large for help. I don't know how I can repay those who choose to help me, other than sincere thank yous and gratitude, but I will certainly pay it forward when I am back on my feet and assist someone else on here who finds themselves behind the eight ball.

I will be working my butt off to accumulate as much as I can, and praying hard, but I am truly freaking out because as much as I'd like to think I'm super-woman, I know I am not and this is a problem beyond my ability to solve alone.
