Please help our dad

Donation protected
We are humbly requesting your assistance. Our dad has stage 4 Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Emphysema. He has tried desperately to find a treatment that can help him breathe even a little bit easier. It is a struggle just to walk down the hallway to his bedroom. It must feel like an elephant is sitting on his chest. He has tried all conventional means and some that were not so conventional. The VA in Arizona has pretty much given up on him and only provides supplemental oxygen and inhalers. At this time he only has a 20% lung function and requires 2-4 liters of oxygen a day. It is such a scary thing to witness when he can't catch his breath.

There is hope though! The Lung Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona is offering a promising treatment. They use stem cells and other forms of regenerative options for all types of lung disease. They treat patients by transplanting stem cells, natural growth factors and platelet-rich plasma from their own bodies to promote the repair and regeneration of the damaged lung tissue. Stem cells are essential to every organism. They self-renew and replicate and have the ability to form any type of tissue in the body. Adult stem cells from one organ can create tissue for another different organ. They claim that stem cell procedures are improving patients’ quality of life and helping them to breathe easier. The success rate is a whopping 70%!

However, the treatment costs $12,000. The VA will not pay for it as it is considered experimental. He can pay a small portion of the costs but he only draws Social Security. We are seeking donations to cover as much of the treatment as possible. It really does seem so encouraging! Here is a link to all of the positive testimonials for the institute:

All we want is a chance. We want as much time with him as possible and would like his grandchildren and great- grandchildren to know what an awesome person he truly is. We have nothing left to lose, but everything to gain.

We love him. Please help.
