Help me SAVE the Rhino’s

Donation protected
Hi, for those who don’t know me, I’m Tamara (from Holland) and I’m an animal volunteer. In my case that means donating my free time and own funds to animal welfare projects whenever and wherever I can.
In 2016 and 2017 I’ve spent several weeks volunteering at the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The dog in the picture below is a meattrade and 2011 Bangkok flood survivor who was living in de dogshelter at the park and who I’ve adopted on one of my trips.
And in 2018 I’ve spend 3 months at The Rhino Orphanage, helping the victims of the poacing crisis.

What I will be doing
Early this year I’ll be volunteering at The Rhino Orphanage in South Africa again for 6 weeks, the orphanage is a registered non-profit company based in the Limpopo Province.
Rhinoceros are being slaughtered by poachers each day for their horns, leaving their babies behind. Although the Rhino does not die from cutting off their horns (it will grow back) it is just more convenient and quicker for the poachers to kill this endangered species.
In just a decade, more then 7.245 African Rhinos have been lost to poaching and only a litlle less then 20.000 Rhinos are now left globaly. You do the math!

An orphaned baby Rhino will not leave their mothers dead body and are often beaten by the poachers and malnourished and scared by the time they get found.

The orphanage is the first specialist, dedicated, non-commercial centre that cares for orphaned and injured baby rhinos with the only aim of releasing them back into the wild.

How can you help
I feel strongly committed to help these wild animals and am lucky enough to have been selected to become part of the team that fights for the future of these little babies.
For 6 weeks (the last one of January until the first one of March) I’ll leave my family, friends and animals behind in The Netherlands to fight the wildlife war amongst them.
For this I’ll need to take an unpaid leave from work, will travel to South Africa alone and I need your help!
I am hoping to raise a little money for my cause.
All fundings will go directly into funding the centre and the care and rehabilitation of the Rhinos like providing warm blankets to keep the baby’s warm at night, milkpowders and medicines.
You can contribute by making a donation to this cause and helping me spread the word by sharing my GoFundMe link on your Facebook page.

Thank you
It is not easy for me to ask others for help, especially help like this. I know money isn’t easy to come by and not everyone has something to spare. I find it very difficult to express in words how much even a little help would mean to me. Just know that it is highly appreciated and I would be forever grateful. So on behalf of all the Rhino orphans I would like to thank you in advance for your help, in anyway you can.
I’ll be keeping you all updated with a blog and photo’s.

Please join me in my quest to help the Rhino babies that have tragically lost their mothers as a result of illegal poaching for the horntrade and dirty trophy hunting.

Thank you a lot!
