Help MyKenzie Grace and the Carro's

MyKenzie Grace was born on 12-09-11 with HLHS and had to undergo Open Heart Surgery on 12-14-2011 at Boston Children's Hospital just 5 days after she was born.   We were in Boston for 11 weeks post surgery.   Then on 8-15-2013, MyKenzie Grace was playing in the house like a normal little girl and slipped on her bottom and hit her back.   She immediately started crying.   As I picked her up to comfort her she went completely limp in my arms and stopped breathing.   She was then rushed to Phoenix Children's Hospital and we found out that she needed a second emergency Open Heart Surgery which she underwent on 9-10-2013 at Boston's Children's Hospital.   We were in Boston for almost 10 weeks with that surgery.  Over the last 3 years she has been doing pretty good with minor issues until Thursday 12-8-2016 when we had a normal check-up and then we got a very distressing report.  MyKenzie Grace's heart pressures are through the roof and she has significantly more leakage & regurgitation in her aortic valve.  On Friday 12-09-2016, one day after her tests, MyKenzie Grace turned 5 years old.  We tried to create a happy space for her to celebrate her birthday but today we got the call from her heart surgeon Dr Emani at Boston Children's and we were told to get to Boston ASAP, no later than the first week in January!  They are booking the cath lab & OR for Mykenzie Grace's 3rd Open Heart Surgery.  This one is particularly alarming as it opens her up to pulmonary problems, in addition to the heart that she has never experienced before.

We are now trying to raise the money to get our family to Boston and to get MyKenzie Grace the proper care and surgery that she needs.  We have a 7 yr old daughter that will have to stay in Arizona to continue to go to school and a 2 yr old son that we will be bringing with us.  We wish we had more time to prepare - we were taken so by surprise.  Mykenzie Grace looks like such a healthy active little girl that we are reeling from this news.  We also know that for most people the holidays are a challenging time financially.  We know it will be a sacrifice for people to help us get Mykenzie Grace to Boston & we are grateful to anyone who can help. We wish we had forever...
