Help me get to Diabetes conference

Donation protected

I am student  currently undertaking a PhD after graduating with a First class honours degree in Msci in Physiology .
I have been invited to present my talk at the ADA conference in San Diego this June, where I would be presenting my work to hundreds of scientists from around the world. As a first year PhD student, this is an incredible opportunity that I might not encounter again. I am therefore looking for help funding the flights and conference fees:

My research is looking into the effects of a specific protein, ILK, in fat tissue and how it affects the development of insulin resistance and inflammation which are associatde to type 2 diabetes.
I am a very passionate individual and have worked incredibly hard throughout my degree to achieve grades that would allow me to pursue a career in science. I have won many awards throughout my degree due to my hard work which in turn resulted in me being awarded a scholarship which helps support my food and board.

The scholarship has limited financial support for travel and in science, it is vital for all researchers to travel and present their work to other scientists around the world. The key to developing a cure to diseases such as Diabetes is to share our knowledge with others and collaborate.

I'm a very determined and ambitious individual and I would like to make a difference to somebody's life by taking things further in the scientific field of Diabetes.

I would be very grateful for any donations, thank you very much.
