Congress of Future Medical Leaders

Donación protegida
Hello, my name is Emily Cochran. I am 14 years old, and I am a Sophomore in high school. I have been selected to attend the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Washington D.C. This is a very prestigious award. There, I will have the opportunity to be mentored by various Nobel Prize winners as well as teen geniuses. I will get to see surgery live and ask the surgeon questions during the procedure. I will get to attend lectures and meet with recruitment officers from colleges and universities. In fact, meeting with representatives from prestigious colleges will encompass the entire first day of the three-day event. I will also have the opportunity to compete for a full ride scholarship to medical school, and two runner-ups will be given a $10,000 scholarship. That is, if I can get enough money to go.

The cost is around $1000, not including transportation, lodging, or food for the entire duration of the Congress. We may have to pay around $1600 if one of my parents can not come with me. You see, we just don't have the money. The Congress will take place on February 14, 15, and 16. My birthday is on the 17, so attending would be a wonderful birthday present. We have to send in a reply by September on whether we are attending or not. We also have to send in a payment at that time.

Going to this Congress would also make me stand out from other applicants when I apply to college or for scholarships. I want to become a clinical psychiatrist, which involves going to college and majoring in Pre-Med, possibly with a minor is Psychology, then going on to medical school, then four years of residency before becoming a full-fledged clinical psychiatrist. Attending this Congress will help me with my mission.

As for me myself, I am a 4.0 average student. I went from first to third grade because of my heightened intelligence, and have not found school very challenging as a whole. This semester I will be taking an AP Psychology course online in addition to all Honors classes. I scored a 1900 on the SAT at the age of 13.

Any amount will help me in my mission, so I beg you, please help me.

With hope, Emily Cochran

P.S.: If I end up not going, all amounts will be used to fund my college tuition or another educational trip, unless you request a refund. In that case, you must know that a percentage of your money will be gone, as both GoFuneMe and WePay extract a percentage. If I do go, there will be proof posted here that I did.
