We just want to eat some interesting--maybe challenging--food!
Hi all, my name is Vincent Ricco and I teach at Leaders High School in south Brooklyn. Twice a year at Leaders we stop the normal slate of classes for Intensives. Intensives focus on getting the students out into the city to learn or encounter new things. As you can imagine, the budget is not robust.
This year my co-teacher, Kenny, and I are doing "Face Your Fears!" Most of our activities are free but we really want to take these 25 Brooklyn kids up to Jackson Heights to encounter some new foods/cuisines. If we visit five places, and order 4-5 dishes from each, we will blow through our whole week's budget and then some.
Unfortunately Teachers Choice will not reimburse for this type of learning experience so I'm asking for support. If you have $5 to spare, it will go further than you can possibly imagine. You might spark culinary interest in a kid who otherwise never would've had the chance. Any leftover funds will be used to create an annual account, run by the school.
Thank you in advance.
