Buy & Save Heartland Park Topeka

My name is Dan Canady. I am a local dirt track racer and a fan of all motor sports. My goal is to buy and reopen Heartland Park Topeka. As a kid my dad would bring us to HPT for the road course races. Now, my kids go watch me race on the dirt track and together we go to the drag races when we can. HPT is shut down now, going to waste like many other race tracks that have been, in my opinion, miss-managed. This complex has been used for many big events in the past, such as national drag races, sports car racing, sprint cars and TV shows. Racing history and records have been made there by racers on and off the track.
It's not only the events at Heartland Park that people miss but also the effect on the local economy. HPT helped the local economy by not only giving people jobs but by holding events that would bring driver's and fans from outside of Topeka.  People who visit Topeka for the events at HPT would probably visit our gas stations, retail stores, restaurants, and our lodging facilities.
Now  I've got an idea: Let's save one of the best racing facilities in the midwest and my local track. It sounds crazy but if you think about the number of racers and fans there are, and what we can do as a group, it can be done. That being said, I am asking for your help. I want to purchase Heartland Park Topeka and get it reopened as soon as possible. The money raised is need to purchase, help with legal fees, and make repairs to the facilites.  My goal is to keep the big events coming and bring back more big shows. In the off-season, use the facilities for other events. There is no reason to not be having other events at this complex.

1 person with $5 is $5 but 1,000,000 fans and racers with $5 is $5,000,000. It can be done!

Thanks for your support,
Dan Canady

It sounds crazy, but all it takes is racers and fans coming together.

Even if you dont donate please share.

In the event that somebody else were to purchase HPT before I can, then the money will go to a non-profit organization to support local racers and their families if they were to become injured on the track. If I can not find a local non-profit, then I will create one. What do you have to lose?
