Healing Peru was established in 2007 by Dr. Nicholas and Kristy Seeliger. After visiting the beautiful village of Kristy’s grandmother, Andajuaylillas, they felt called to dedicate themselves to improve the quality of life of the families living in this inspiring Andean village. With the help of many, their dream remains alive.
Each year we form a medical team to bring free healthcare to people who need it most in the Peruvian Andes. Donations help us pay for medicines, supplies and Qechua-Spanish Translators.
Through the collaborative efforts of The Q’ewar Project, a Peruvian-based non-profit organization, The Cusco Region Ministry of Health, The Jesuit Volunteer Corps, The Eglin Air Force Base Family Medicine Residency Program and the Tulane University School of Medicine - Healing Peru continues to grow and expand it’s reach to help those who are most in need.
Now, with the growing relationships with the American medical academic community, Healing Peru is also able to prepare and inspire tomorrow's doctors to serve, not just in Peru, but in similar villages around the world!
We are always looking for extra helping hands. If you are interested in joining the mission trip, just contact us below. We are looking for doctors, residents, students, nurses, dentists, ophthalmalogists and any non-medical professional looking to lend a helping hand. We would love for you to join!
