The People V. Bush/Cheney will be a court room drama created to set the facts straight using the trial of the Bush/Cheney administration to expose all the lies told to the American people and the world by our leaders in regards to inciting the invasion of Iraq.
I was impelled to this cause by an email I received from my friend Edward Meer in regards to the dying wish of a young soldier for President Bush and Vice-President Cheney to be put on trial. attorneys in Las Vegas who together with Edward Meer and others are now dedicated in building a network here in the USA but also worldwide to make this film a reality.
We are passionate about this project and while many books and movies/documentaries have been created related to the Iraq war, as of yet no dramatic trial of the principals who took us into this disastrous war has taken place. We like to think that millions of people would prefer nothing better than to see them stand trial so indeed no person will be above the law.
We love America and our armed forces as much as anyone, but we believe that the truth of this sad episode in our history must be aired in order to cleanse ourselves from the taint of the lies and deceit that created so much misery for many and wealth for a few. Our position is not against any political party, but it will be we hope a fair and honest lesson in what lies, deceit and manipulation through presentation and innuendo can do to a powerful nation. We hope it will aid our great country being launched into the horror of another unjustified war in future times and be a moral lesson for all.
Thousands of our heroes died, tens of thousands were wounded physically and mentally and so much pain was caused to all the families and loved ones because of the lies told to the American people and the world by leaders. No one knows exactly how many Iraqis were killed or wounded but there are estimates up to a Million Iraqis have been killed and millions displaced in what was called “Nation Building”. We won the war and lost part of our collective soul.
So much money was spent on a wasteful venture and taken by war profiteers. Estimates are that this war cost more than $3 Trillions. This is money which would have cured many problems at home.” It is no coincidence that before our troops came home our nation was in the worst economic crisis since 1929.
Friends, our goal is to raise preproduction costs in the amount of $100,000 and build our Facebook community prior to creating a Indiegogo fundraising campaign in the amount of $2 Million.
We pledge to be responsible guardians of all the funds contributed for this amazing project. We pledge that all funds will be accounted forand that excess funds and profits will go to support other major veteran causes.
