The Selena Project

Selena was in an accident with 7 of her friends.  What started out as an innocent drive to the beach with a bunch of JROTC friends turned out to be the day that will mold and shape Selena's life forever.  There was no alcohol or drugs involved.  Selena was in the back of the truck they were in and when the truck hit a ditch, she was propelled into the back of the cab of the truck with her back and the back of her head.  She has had back surgery and was told she would never be able to walk again.   
For over 50 days Selena was at the New Hanover Regional Rehabilitation Hospital getting acclaimated to her new life.
In the "Selena way",  she smiles and laughs and takes this in stride.  Her family have been displaced from their singlewide mobile home and in their homeless state, can not stay at their "home" until they are able to widen the doorways, build a ramp and expand Selena's room and her bathroom as well as put down hardwood/tile throughout the common areas.
All the volunteers have been teamed up to provide all the labor hours for this project and an architect has designed the new layout.  Home Depot has donated $2000 worth of product but we need more. 
In order for The Selena Project to complete all areas to allow the family to move back into their home, we need a total of $5500.
