I was diagnosed with an 11 mm pineal cyst in February of 2014. Cyst’s in this area are common and usually less than 5 mm in size and are usually asymptomatic. A cyst measuring over 5 mm is considered rare and usually will cause symptoms. In August it measured 12 mm in size and they are now calling it a cystic tumor. They will not know if it is a tumor or cyst until it is removed. I suffer from daily headaches, frequent migraines, light sensitivity, constant ringing in my ears, extreme fatigue, facial pressure, visual field loss, memory issues, and tingling around my eyes and mouth. I have good days and I have bad days. I have found that finding a doctor in this area that believes my symptoms are coming from this cyst is quite difficult. I have spoken to 2 doctors that specialize in this condition and both believe that I need surgery to remove the cyst. Jan 21,  2015 I will be going to Texas to have my cyst surgically removed. I’m ready to get back to enjoying time with my family and living life again.
